Nodes
The Nodes tab shows the proxy groups of the current subscription and lets you choose which node each group uses. The subtitle under the title counts them, for example “6 groups · 120 nodes”.
If there is no subscription, the page asks you to import one on the Me tab. If the subscription has no proxy groups, or the core has not loaded yet, it says “No proxy groups”.
Layouts
Section titled “Layouts”Phones and narrow screens offer two layouts, chosen in the node view menu:
- List (default): every group is a card. Tap a card to expand it and show its nodes; tap again to collapse it. All groups start collapsed.
- Single group: a group button at the top shows the current group (icon, name, type, member count, “N groups in total”) with a Switch button. Tap it to pick another group from a list. Below it are a summary card for the group and its nodes. MeowX remembers which group you were viewing, per subscription.
Wide screens (Windows, and tablets at least 900 points wide) always use two columns: the groups on the left, and the selected group’s summary and nodes on the right.
Group cards
Section titled “Group cards”Each group card shows the group’s icon (if the subscription sets one), name and type (select, url-test, fallback …), the number of members, a latency button, and the node the group currently uses, followed by any provider badges for that node. If the group selects another group, MeowX follows the chain down to the actual node.
Node cards
Section titled “Node cards”Each node card shows:
- The node’s name (flag emoji in names are shown as they are).
- A subtitle with the protocol and security (for example “vless · reality”), or a description for built-in outbounds such as DIRECT and REJECT.
- Provider badges, if any.
- A latency chip. Tap the chip to test just that node.
The selected node has a pink background and an accent-colored outline.
Selecting a node
Section titled “Selecting a node”How a tap behaves depends on the group type:
| Group type | Tapping a node |
|---|---|
select |
Selects it. The highlight changes immediately |
url-test, fallback |
Pins it: the group keeps using this node instead of choosing automatically. A pin icon appears next to the name. Tap the pinned node again to unpin it |
url-test and fallback groups also have an Auto select switch (a row above the nodes, or in the summary card):
- On: the group chooses by itself, by latency (“Switches automatically by latency”) or by availability (“Switches automatically when unavailable”).
- Off: a node is pinned (“Pinned manually, turn on to restore”). Turning the switch off pins the node the group is currently using.
If you pin a node that is currently unavailable, MeowX tests it first. When it does not respond, the pin is not applied and a message says the node is unavailable and automatic selection was restored.
Latency testing
Section titled “Latency testing”- Test all: the lightning button at the top right (on wide screens, the Test all button) tests every node in every group.
- Test this group: the latency button on a group card or in the summary card. Before a test it shows a lightning icon; afterwards it shows the latency of the node the group is using. It spins while testing.
- Test one node: tap the latency chip on a node card.
Results are shown in milliseconds and colored by speed. “Timeout” means the node did not answer in time.
The test method and test URL are set in Me › Proxy & Speed Test:
| Method | What it measures | Green up to | Orange up to |
|---|---|---|---|
| HTTPS latency (default) | A request to the test URL through the node, without counting connection setup | 100 ms | 200 ms |
| Real connection latency | The full round trip including TCP and TLS setup | 300 ms | 600 ms |
| TCPing | Only a TCP connection to the node’s server port | 100 ms | 200 ms |
Anything slower is shown in red. Changing the method clears the existing results, because the numbers are not comparable. See Settings.
Node view menu
Section titled “Node view menu”The grid button at the top right opens a menu with:
- Layout: List or Single group (phones and narrow screens only).
- Card size: Standard (two columns on a phone) or Large (one column with more room for long names). Wider screens add columns automatically.
- Sort: Default (the order in the subscription), Latency (fastest first, untested nodes after, timeouts last) or Name (Chinese names by pinyin, numbers in numeric order, so “Node 2” comes before “Node 10”).
The sort order is also used by the node lists in the Windows tray menu.
Provider badges
Section titled “Provider badges”If you are signed in to a compatible provider dashboard that publishes extra node information, node cards and group cards may show badges supplied by your provider:
- A gold or silver medal rating the node’s return routes to the three Chinese carriers. Tap it for the per-carrier details.
- A lock showing streaming and service unlock results: green when everything is unlocked, orange when some services are, grey when none are. Tap it for the list, grouped into categories.
These badges come entirely from your provider. They are matched to your nodes even if the provider’s subscription renames nodes (for example with usage suffixes). Other subscriptions do not show them.
