Account and subscriptions
The Me tab holds your provider account, your subscriptions and all settings. On phones it is one scrolling page: the account card, the subscriptions card, then the list of settings. On wide screens (Windows, wide tablets) it is laid out in three columns, with the account and subscriptions on the left.
You do not need an account: any subscription URL works on its own.
Provider accounts
Section titled “Provider accounts”Some providers run a dashboard that MeowX can sign in to. Signing in lets you:
- See the subscriptions in your account and import any of them with one tap.
- Have your only subscription imported automatically when you sign in.
- Show your nickname and avatar on the account card.
- Get provider badges on nodes, if the provider publishes them.
- While MeowX is connected, receive updates in real time: when your subscription changes on the dashboard, MeowX refreshes it automatically (“Real-time sync enabled”).
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”There are three ways to sign in.
Scan a QR code Android
- On the dashboard (for example in a browser on your computer), open the QR login code from your personal menu (“Scan to log in on phone” or similar).
- In MeowX, tap Scan to sign in on the account card, or the QR button at the top right of the Me tab.
- Allow camera access if asked, and point the camera at the code. You can also pick a screenshot of the code from your gallery.
The same scanner also accepts a subscription link QR code, which it imports.
Use the dashboard’s link Windows
- On the same PC, open the dashboard in your browser.
- Open the QR login dialog from your personal menu (“Scan to log in on phone” or similar) and click Log in client.
- The browser asks to open MeowX. Allow it; MeowX opens and signs in.
There is no camera scanner on Windows.
Username and password (both platforms): tap Account sign-in on the account card and enter the dashboard address (for example https://panel.example.com), your username and password. If your account uses two-step verification, MeowX then asks for a verification code or recovery code.
The account card
Section titled “The account card”| Card shows | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not signed in · “Sign in to enable real-time sync and account features” | No account. Sign-in buttons and a short how-to are shown |
| Your nickname · Real-time sync enabled | Signed in. A Sign out button is shown |
| Your nickname · Login expired, please sign in again | The dashboard no longer accepts the session (it expired, your password changed, or you were signed out on the dashboard). Sign in again |
When your login expires, your subscriptions stay on the device.
Your nickname and avatar are fetched again only when you refresh a subscription by hand, not on a timer.
Signing out
Section titled “Signing out”Tap Sign out.
The subscriptions card
Section titled “The subscriptions card”The card lists:
- The current subscription, highlighted and marked Current, with its usage bar, used / total traffic, expiry date and when it was last updated. Its ⋯ button opens a menu (see Managing a subscription).
- Your other subscriptions, one row each with their usage. Tap a row to switch to it. Long-press it (right-click on Windows) for the same menu.
- The built-in Direct profile, always last, marked Built-in. Choosing it routes all traffic directly.
- Your account’s subscriptions (when signed in), in their own group with a refresh button. Subscriptions already on the device switch when tapped; ones that are not yet downloaded show a download icon, their usage and expiry, and are downloaded and switched to when tapped.
- Import subscription.
If you are connected when you switch, MeowX reloads with the new configuration.
Importing a subscription
Section titled “Importing a subscription”- Tap Import subscription.
- Paste the subscription URL (or your provider’s short link).
- Tap Import subscription.
The subscription’s name comes from the provider (the profile-title header) when it sends one, otherwise from the file name or the host name. The new subscription becomes the current one if you had none (or only the built-in Direct profile); otherwise it is added to the list and you can tap it to switch.
Other ways to import:
- Open a
clash://install-config?url=...link. - Android Scan a subscription link QR code with the scanner on the Me tab.
- Tap a subscription under your account.
Auto-import after sign-in
Section titled “Auto-import after sign-in”Right after you sign in, if your account has exactly one subscription, no subscription from that dashboard is on the device yet, and you are not currently using another subscription, MeowX imports it and switches to it. With several subscriptions it does not choose for you, and it never replaces a subscription you are using. This only happens at the moment of signing in, so a subscription you delete later is not added back.
Managing a subscription
Section titled “Managing a subscription”The ⋯ menu (or long-press / right-click) offers:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Refresh | Downloads the subscription again now. Also refreshes your nickname and avatar if you are signed in |
| Rename | Gives it your own name. Refreshing keeps your name |
| View config | Shows the configuration file, read-only |
| Delete | Removes it from the device. The built-in Direct profile cannot be renamed or deleted |
Refreshing
Section titled “Refreshing”- By hand: Refresh in the menu above, or tap the “updated” time on the Home subscription card. Refresh your account’s list with the refresh button next to “Your account’s subscriptions”.
- Automatically: set Me › Subscription sync › Sync interval to Manual, 6 hours, 12 hours, Daily (default) or 3 days. When the interval has passed, the current subscription is downloaded again the next time you open the app.
While MeowX is running, subscription downloads first go through MeowX itself. If that fails with a network error (for example because the selected node is down), MeowX retries once with a direct connection. A download gives up after about 15 seconds without connecting, or 30 seconds without receiving data.
